It wasn’t an easy decision to make.
I’ve always felt slightly annoyed by ads that appear when I’m just trying to enjoy a good read online or access information I need.
I can’t believe my blog now has ads.
I’m still struggling with the fact.

People used to come to my quiet corner of the internet to find inspiration, encouragement and maybe even learn a thing or two.
I was proud of the fact that they could read, undistracted. No images appeared but my own. Nothing was flashing or blinking at them. No one was throwing advertisements in their face. The environment was…serene.
But just a few weeks ago, that all changed.
I gave an ad network company permission to display ads on my site. Actually, that’s putting it too passively.
I went through the hassle of applying to an ad network company, got accepted and have been working with them to find a balance with ads and ad placement on my site.
I must confess I nearly choked the first time I saw ads plastered all over my pretty site. There may have even been a wee lump in my throat.
Somehow, having a clean, crisp site was reflective of who I am as a person. And I felt like it suited my audience so well.

But it was time. The cost of running my blog was going up and try as I would, I couldn’t find a way to make enough money to justify NOT having ads.
Especially when they raised my income by more than 600%.
So many people don’t realize it actually costs money to run a blog like this.
Initially, it isn’t much. But as more folks find and follow you, the price goes up. And eventually, most bloggers hit a place where they either have to start making money on their blog or shut it down.
Or have a very expensive hobby! Which I didn’t have the luxury of doing.

So several years ago, I made the transition toward making the blog pay for itself. Which it now does because of readers who use my Amazon affiliate link for their shopping and buy the courses and ebooks I create.
But now that we’ve started a family, it’s becoming apparent that we’re going to need some extra income, so my man can be home part time to help us raise our family. Or so that we can hire some help in the near future.
I know I need to run ads on my site. To be fair to my man. To our growing family.
At the same time, I hate what I’m doing to my readers.
I know you aren’t a fan of seeing ads on my blog. Trust me, I share your dislike.

And that’s why I’m so happy to be able to offer you an opt-out option.
Be it foolish or wise, I’m offering a paid subscription plan here on the blog so that, for a small yearly fee, you can view my site ad free!
For just $15 USD a year, you can access my entire site without ads.
That’s $1.25 per month for those of you in the back. 🙂
This feature wasn’t cheap for me to set up. There’s a hefty yearly fee I have to pay to have this ad free subscription plan on my site.
But I’m hoping if enough of you sign up, the cost will be covered. And perhaps it will eventually be another way I can support my family while giving you a wonderful, ad free experience on my blog.
Here’s how it works.
- Go HERE to sign up
- Add the subscription to your cart and click “view cart”
- Check out and enter your payment info.
- After you’ve made your purchase, check your email for username and to set a password.
- Scroll to the bottom of my blog and click the AD FREE LOGIN tab.
- Enter the user name you received and the password you set
- Check the box “remember me” so you don’t have to log in every time for an ad free experience.
You may be prompted to re-enter your username and password 1-2x per month, just to keep things fresh.
