Hey, I'm Autumn!
And I'm here to teach you traditional skills that will help you nurture your home and family, no matter where you live.
I'm a wife and mama who practices traditional cooking skills, loves gardening and enjoys preserving food in season, so my family and I can enjoy it later.
I've been battling Lyme disease for over a decade, and that's why I returned to this life. I wanted to nourish myself and my little family to the best of my ability. I quickly learned that returning to the skills my grandma practiced was the best way.
Doing things yourself is harder than buying pre-made items. But there's something to be said for knowing exactly what you're dealing with. And that's why I'm about!

Want guidance while living this traditional life? From creating a kitchen you love, to cooking & preserving recipes, plus gardening tips, I love sending weekly emails with articles that will help you on the journey!
Everyone thinks I'm a homesteader because I cook from scratch, grow gardens and do lots of canning and preserving.
And while I was raised on a coastal farm, I'm happy to be living life on a wee bit of land (2.85 acres), where we have space for gardens, a tiny root cellar, honeybees and my little flock of ducks.
I don't do all the things that a stereotypical homesteader does, and you won't find me always pushing for more. Sometimes less is more, and my goal is to live a healthy life, so I can focus on what matters most.
You don't need a farm or homestead to learn the things I teach. These traditional skills will meet you right where you're at!
